Hundred Years Ago

Hundred Years Ago is a capsule collection born from a single piece of silk. The starting point for the collection was an antique silk fabric that is over one hundred years old. Its faded colour, delicate texture, and visible signs of age inspired every silhouette. Rather than hiding its imperfections, Roman chose to preserve them. The marks left by time became part of the design itself.

Each piece is handcrafted using natural materials, combining wool, antique silk, and hand sewn and hand dyed ostrich feathers. Every hat is made individually, allowing the character of the vintage textiles to guide the final form.

Because of the nature of the antique fabrics, no two pieces are ever exactly alike. These hats are not recreations of the past, but a dialogue with it. They carry the history of a material that has survived for more than a century while giving it a new life as a contemporary wearable object.
